Food Stamps Florida: After your application for SNAP or TANF is approved, you’ll receive a reloadable Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) card in the mail. It will come from Sioux Falls, SD, in a plain white envelope with a return address. Once you get it, your monthly benefits will be automatically loaded onto the card.
You’ll get an EBT card and instructions on how to use it if you’re new to the job. Your card is still valid as long as you’ve used it to get benefits in the last 25 months.
Call EBT Customer Service at 1-888-356-3281 to get a new card if you lose it or it expires. If your case is approved, you will not automatically get a new card. Most of the time, the new card comes in five to seven business days. If you’ve lost or expired your card, you’ll need to get a new one before you can use it again.

Once you have your EBT card, you can use it anywhere there is a sign that says “EBT Accepted Here” or the QUEST logo.
Approved food items can be purchased with SNAP benefits, and sales tax will not be applied to those purchases. However, cash benefits are only available through ATMs bearing the QUEST logo. No fees are associated with cash withdrawals at certain banks, including Wells Fargo, Chase, and Bank of America.
In addition, you can use cash benefits to make purchases and get cash back at participating locations. While SNAP food benefits are accepted in all 50 states, cash benefits are not permitted to be used outside of Florida for longer than 30 days at a time.

You can use the most recent receipt from a card transaction to see how much money you have left on your EBT. The EBT Cardholder Portal is another way to check your balance. You can also call EBT Customer Service at 1-888-356-3281. To find out what your balance is, you’ll need to enter your 16-digit card number.

Every day by 6 a.m., benefits are added to your card, and any money you don’t use will be carried over to the next month.
