Food Vlogger Incident Sparks Outrage: A popular restaurant in Bengaluru has wrapped up the job of one of its employees after a video, showing an altercation with a food vlogger kicked off a big backlash on social media. This happened earlier this week, and the clip became viral pretty fast once the vlogger claimed that he was stopped from recording inside the restaurant and was physically manhandled by a staff member.

From what the food vlogger posted online, he said he was filming his content inside the Bengaluru restaurant when a staff member allegedly objected and told him, “You cannot record video.” After that, things apparently turned into a heated, back and forth argument where the employee was seen facing the creator and allegedly trying to block him from filming.

The footage then spread widely across Instagram and other social platforms. Many users criticized the restaurant, saying they used excessive force rather than handling it in a calm professional way. After all the online noise, the restaurant put out a public statement. In it, they acknowledged the incident and confirmed that the employee who was involved had been terminated.
Management also said they were sorry for the confrontation, adding that the conduct visible in the video does not match the place’s beliefs or its customer service standards.
The restaurant’s statement read, “With regards to the incident that happened at Truffles, St. Marks Road, we sincerely apologise to the creators involved and understand that the situation was handled in an unacceptable manner that is not representative of the values that Truffles stands for. The statement further read, “The service of the said staff has been terminated, following an internal review of the situation. We at Truffles believe that everyone should be treated with love and respect above anything else. Our team will be making the necessary enhancements to our training programs, and we will strive to ensure that incidents like this are never repeated.”

The incident has generated mixed reactions online, people are going two ways at once. While many users welcomed the restaurant’s decision to dismiss the employee, they argued that physical confrontation with a customer is unacceptable. Others said something different that restaurants are private establishments and they can have policies limiting commercial filming or content creation without prior permission too.
Legal experts generally mention that businesses can set reasonable rules about photography and videography on their premises. But even so, when people disagree, those disputes are expected to be solved through communication rather than intimidation, or straight up force right there on site.
