Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee passed away on Thursday in Delhi.
All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has issued a statement saying that the health of former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee deteriorated to the worst. He took his last breath at 5:05 PM on 16 August.
The 93-year-old former Prime Minister was admitted on June 11 due to kidney tract infection, chest congestion, and low urine output. His condition has been declining rapidly. He had suffered a stroke in 2009 that weakened his cognitive abilities. Subsequently, he developed dementia.
