Selfie deaths are not an uncommon phenomenon in the country. In a recent incident, an eight-year-old boy accidentally shot himself in the head while clicking a selfie, in Ghaziabad.
Junaid, the victim, and some of his friends were taking a selfie while holding a gun, when the child accidentally pulled the trigger and the bullet hit Junaid’s head.
Kale, Junaid’s neighbour, allegedly possessed an illegal gun.
Junaid and his friends had decided to take a selfie with the gun and share it on social media.
He was immediately rushed to the GTB Hospital in Delhi where his condition was declared fragile.
The police have taken Kale into custody. A probe into Kale’s illegal gun and the purpose of keeping the weapon in underway.
