Ghost movie review: Sanaya Irani starrer is a spine chilling, intriguing supernatural thriller

Ghost starring Sanaya Irani and Shivam Bhaargava is not just a familiar horror movie as it seems from the name but is something that has a lot of unexpected twists.

The story based on a newspaper article in which the British court had allowed a matter involving spirits to be tried. The story is of Karan Khanna (Shivam Bhaargava), a politician of Indian origin in the United Kingdom is accused of killing his wife Barkha (Gayatri Iyer). Defense lawyer Simran Singh (Sanaya Irani) is fighting with herself to take up the case and the story then sets in how Karan and Simran get into the web of haunting spirits and love find them amid the supernatural happenings.

Vikram Bhatt with ace skills manages to fill up the elementary requirements of a Bollywood supernatural thriller and infuses in the film. The buildup that follows is too effective and impactful.

There are a couple of scenes that are laced with dark humor and suspense. It is the reason what makes us hooked up with the storyline until the end.

Vikram Bhatt is effective as his previous movies and he knows how to use the genre completely in his favor and that his what makes the film stand out.

On the performances front, Sanaya Irani, Shivam Bhargava, Gayatri Iyer are competent. The surprise is Ananya Sengupta in the film. The cinematography is well captured and the background goes well with the narrative of the film.

Overall, Vikram Bhatt’s supernatural thriller will not disappoint you and the twists add up the overall storyline of the film. For all the loyal Bollywood supernatural horror/mystery lovers, this one is surely a treat to the eyes. Also, a good one before Halloween kicks in.
