Gladiators Esports Secures BGMI Masters Series Season 2 Title: The BGMI Masters Series Season 2 (BGMS 2023) concluded on August 27, marking the conclusion of the ultimate tournament of the year. In a dramatic reversal of events, Gladiators Esports has won the BGMS Season 2 championship. With a one-point lead, the team won an unremarkable match and became the greatest team in India. Along with the championship trophy, the team received an enormous Rs 1 Crore prize pool.

The renowned team delivered an exhilarating performance with complete resolve until the very end. On three matchdays from August 25-27, the team accumulated 150 points, two chicken banquets, and 73 finishes across 12 matches and three matchdays. Justin from Gladiators Esports was named the tournament’s MVP for his 85 finishes.

Orangutan Gaming was the runner-up with 149 points and 68 finishes after losing the championship by one point. The team appeared to be in complete control for the first two days, but fell short by one point and was awarded Rs 35 lakh as the runner-up. After displaying expertise in the Finale, Velocity Gaming was awarded third place.

Gladiators Esports Wins Season 2 of the BGMI Masters Series (BGMS 2023)

The BGMS 2023 was concluded after 22 days of rigorous competition. Out of the twenty-four teams that began the competition, only sixteen reached the finish line. Below is a summary of the concluding day of the second season of the BGMI Masters Series.

Match 9: Team 8 Bit claimed the first match of the third day of the Grand Finals with a 29-point chicken dinner. Team XSpark competed with confidence and accumulated 19 points. Orangutan and Team Insane each received 12 points, while Team Insane received 13 points. Blund Esports earned eight points in the first round after defeating Enigma Gaming.

encounter 10: Velocity Gaming won the second encounter, Sanhok, by a score of 22 points. Gladiators performed admirably as well, scoring 25 points to top the BGMS Finals standings. In contrast, Gods Reign chose to play aggressively and earned 31 points. Both Oneblade and Lucknow Giants scored 13 and 11 points, respectively.

After winning the third match of Day 3 of the BGMS Grand Finals, Orangutan reclaimed the overall lead on the scoreboard. The squad led by Ash won a Chicken Dinner worth 25 points. Gladiators Esports, who earned 16 points, also fought a tremendous game. Medal and Team Velocity scored 19 and 16 points, respectively.

With 142 and 149 points, respectively, Gladiators Esports and Orangutan Gaming entered the final match of the grand finals. Orangutan Gaming appeared to have the advantage with a 7-point lead. However, their hopes were shattered when Velocity Gaming wiped them out in the third zone with zero goals. Gladiators Esports advanced with calculated plays and earned eight crucial points, paving the way for them to win the championship.

Gods Reign won the BGMI championship contest with 21 points. Velocity Gaming won with 20 points, followed by Global with 15 and Blind with 14.

The entire prize money of Rs 2.1 Crores has been shared among all 24 competing teams and is distributed as follows based on their overall tournament ranking.

Special Honours

Justin “Justin” Nadar of Gladiator Esports was named Most Valuable Player (MVP). This prestigious award came with a financial prize of Rs 1.2 Lakhs in recognition of his talent and contribution to Gladiators Esports’ success. In addition, Justin was recognised as the TVS Most Evil Player. Notably, Team SouL’s Akshat “AkshaT” Goel was selected as the Audience’s Favourite Raider and was awarded a TVS Raider Bike.

The excitement surrounding BGMS was unparalleled, and it was broadcast LIVE on Star Sports Network alongside Rooter. The final day has received over 290K live viewers, which is indicative of BGMI’s prominence in India. The final day reached over 331K viewers (Star Sports + Rooter), and this was accomplished without the presence of India’s most-beloved teams, Soul and Godlike, in the Finals; the number would have been higher if these teams had participated.
