Google play store removes Paytm: List of Paytm alternatives

Paytm has mysteriously disappeared from Google Play Store. The app, owned by One97 Communications Ltd, is not visible on being searched on Google Play Store whereas all the other apps including Paytm For Business, Paytm Money, Paytm Mall, and others owned by the company are still available on Play Store.

Google has removed Paytm from the Play store because it believed the app was violating its new guidelines on online gambling or contests. However, Paytm is available for download on the Apple App Store.

As per the media reports, Google had notified the developers of Paytm about the removal and it continues to be in touch with Paytm to get the app back on Play Store.

For the permanent Paytm users, or those who prefer online transactions and was about to install the payment app on your mobile phones, here are some best alternatives of the Paytm in India:

PayUmoney

PayUMoney is one of the most popular payment gateway companies. They also have an option for their buyers wherein the buyer can get a host of offers while paying at merchant outlets online hack including flat discounts and cashback.

Mobikwik

Mobikwik in itself is capable of performing a lot of functions that you use Paytm for. PhonePe

Phone Pe is a Flipkart group company which is getting quite popular these days. Like all other wallets, you can also use it to send/accept payments, pay bills and do recharges, and so on. You can even pay at merchants location by scanning QR code.

FreeCharge

Mumbai based payment app FreeCharge provides an online facility to recharge any prepaid mobile phone, postpaid mobile, DTH & Data Cards as well as make peer to peer transfers and make payments to online/offline merchants in India. It is widely accepted at all major outlets and major online shopping sites too.

Google Pay

Google Pay is free for customers to use to pay for goods and services in stores and online. Google has recently made Google Pay easier to access on Pixels and other Android 11 phones. A new power button prompt means that your payment cards are only ever a button tap away, and choosing which card to pay with becomes more convenient.

Oxygen Wallet

This payment is distrinct from the other e-wallet applications. It is the best e-wallet alternative to Paytm. However, when you have a closer look, you will realize that it is much more than merely a copy of Paytm. It is not just limited to the transaction features of the other e-wallets. It also allows you to transfer money to the bank account of the receiving party wither through MMID or by entering the IFSC and bank account number. Its partnership with RBL bank will help you to create a prepaid VISA debit card.
