GTA 6 Collector’s Edition Leak: The hype around Grand Theft Auto VI popularly known as GTA 6 has reached another level after fresh leaks suggested that Rockstar Games could launch multiple editions of the game, including a highly anticipated Collector’s Edition, alongside special PS5 console bundles before pre-orders officially begin.
While Rockstar Games has not officially confirmed these details yet, several gaming publications, retailer leaks. Insider reports have triggered massive speculation online about GTA 6’s pre-order plans, trailer 3 reveal, pricing and launch roadmap.
GTA 6 Release Date Officially Confirmed
Rockstar Games and parent company Take-Two Interactive have officially confirmed that GTA 6 will launch on November 19, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles. A PC release has still not been announced.
Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick recently reiterated that the release schedule remains locked and that Rockstar’s full marketing campaign is expected to begin during summer 2026.
GTA 6 Collector’s Edition Leak
A recent insider leak claims Rockstar may release up to six different purchase options for GTA 6. These reportedly include:
- Standard Edition
- Deluxe Edition
- Premium Edition
- Collector’s Edition
- PS5 Bundle
- PS5 Pro Bundle
The leak originated from insider “DetectiveSeeds,” whose earlier claims about retailer pre-order activity reportedly aligned with a leaked Best Buy affiliate email.
According to the reports, the Collector’s Edition could become a limited or “rare” version of the game featuring exclusive physical collectibles and digital bonuses. However, Rockstar Games has not officially announced any edition structure yet.

PS5 and PS5 Pro GTA 6 Console Bundles
One of the biggest talking points from the leak is the possibility of dedicated GTA 6 PlayStation console bundles.
Reports suggest Sony could launch special PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Pro bundles tied to GTA 6’s release window. The bundles are rumored to include digital versions of the game instead of physical discs, which has become increasingly common for modern console packages.
Industry watchers believe Sony may heavily market GTA 6 as a flagship title for current-generation PlayStation hardware ahead of launch.
GTA 6 Pre-Order Date Rumors
The whole speculation around GTA 6 pre-orders kind of blew up after some screenshots of what was claimed to be a Best Buy affiliate email started moving around online.
From what people said, that email would point at pre-orders starting on May 18 and that there would be promo discounts on the physical editions running through May 21 or so it claimed.

Still, later chatter suggested the message might’ve been sent by mistake or that the info inside was flat out wrong. Since then, several insiders and gaming journalists have moved to clear things up, saying that Rockstar hasn’t officially opened pre-orders yet.
Meanwhile Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick has basically hinted that pre-orders will probably go live nearer to the start of Rockstar’s summer marketing push.
Trailer 3 Rumors Continue
Another major rumor revolves around GTA 6 Trailer 3. Gaming communities on Reddit, X, and Instagram have been speculating that Rockstar may release a third trailer shortly before pre-orders officially begin.
Although no official release date for Trailer 3 exists, many fans believe Rockstar could unveil the next major gameplay showcase during Summer Game Fest season or ahead of Take-Two’s investor presentations.
Rockstar previously released Trailer 1 in December 2023 and Trailer 2 in May 2025, both of which generated record-breaking engagement across social media platforms.
