National Students Union of India (NSUI), the students’ wing of Congress has won 6 seats from a total of 8 seats in Gujarat University Senate Elections.
To express their victory on Twitter NSUI tweeted, “Students of PM Modi’s hometown rejected BJP’s dividing policies & chosen the ideology of united India. NSUI won 6 out of 8 seats in Gujarat University Senate Elections.”

After a gap of four years, the University conducted varsity senate and welfare elections on Sunday. Gujarat College, RH Patel, R J Tibrewal, HK Arts and Rashtrabhasha College took part in the election. 2218 voters exercised their right to vote out of the total 3,279 voters.
NSUI has even tweeted a communique expressing their thoughts on the win they had in varsity senate and welfare elections.

Former NSUI president and Congress youth leader Indra Vijay Singh Gohil said after the election results were declared that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is coming to Gujarat on March 12 to commemorate Dandi March, this election result will be a gift to him.
Gohil also accused the government of postponing the election of Gujarat University for four years. Gohil said that the youth of Gujarat is upset with the policies of the BJP government. Due to the anti-youth policies of the government, the youth are facing a lot of difficulties in government jobs and findingemployment.
