Gurgaon district magistrate Hardeep Singh has issued a series of directions to businessmen, bankers, security agencies, auto owners, and others to ensure order in the city.  He has ordered the installation of CCTV cameras in pubs, bars, banks, toll plazas and National Highways, PGs and guest houses. In addition to that, Pubs and bars have also been ordered to not serve alcohol to underage drinkers.

Also, the banks have been strictly instructed to install CCTV for the entire coverage of ATMs and have directed to employ guards 24×7 for the purpose. The same directions have been issued to PGs and guesthouses as well. All the education institutions have also been ordered to set up CCTV cameras with footage back-up to ensure that there is no crime against women.  BPOs, call centres and others in the corporate sector have been instructed to get GPS systems installed in their vehicles, so that their movements can be tracked.

To ensure more safety, the magistrate has directed the security agencies to get a character certificate of any guard who they employ or whose services they take on, and to also get their arms licences registered with the Gurgaon Licensing Authority. Similarly, owners of autos have been instructed to get police verification done of the drivers they employ.
