Gwalior Sisters Chase Mobile Snatcher: Two sisters in Gwalior have been getting a lot of praise online after they reportedly chased down a mobile phone snatcher on their scooter, threw his bike off balance and then assisted police in catching him. The whole dramatic bit allegedly happened at speeds close to 80 kmph.
The sisters who are being identified as Harshita and Rasita Agrawal were reportedly heading to college when a bike- riding man allegedly snatched Rasita’s mobile phone near Sofa Gallery in the Padav police station zone.

Police said Harshita and Rasita, residents of CP Colony in Murar were travelling on a scooter when the accused came from behind, and allegedly took the phone from Rasita’s hand.
After that, the suspect sped away on his motorcycle. The sisters quickly continued after him. The chase as it’s being claimed, went from the Sofa Gallery side towards Phoolbagh and the scooter reportedly hit about 80 kmph.
Sisters Knock Down Suspect’s Bike
The chase reportedly came to an end near Phoolbagh. According to the report, a tempo came in front of the accused’s motorcycle as he attempted to change direction. The sisters then rammed their scooter into his bike, causing him to lose balance and fall.

The sisters reportedly caught hold of the man and raised an alarm. People nearby then gathered at the spot and helped restrain him before handing him over to the police.

Who Is the Accused?
The suspect has been identified as Manpreet, a native of Punjab, according to the police account. Police reportedly said that he had arrived in Gwalior only a couple of days earlier and was working as a delivery executive with Domino’s.
During questioning, he allegedly told police that he needed money to rent a room and intended to sell the stolen phone to arrange the funds.
Police are also reportedly contacting authorities in Punjab to check whether the accused has any previous criminal record.
What Did Gwalior Police Say?
Padav police station in-charge Shailendra Bhargava said the accused was being questioned. The police investigation is expected to establish the circumstances surrounding the alleged mobile snatching and whether the accused has been involved in any previous offences.
