Hansi is one of the 90 constituencies to go for polls for Haryana Legislative Assembly on October 21. Hansi falls under Hisar Lok Sabha constituency of Haryana. Renuka Bishnoi is the current MLA of Hansi.

In the 2014 Haryana Vidhan Sabha (Haryana Legislative Assembly) Elections, Congress candidate Renuka Bishnoi defeated BJP’ Umed Singh Lohan.

Out of the 90 Assembly constituencies in Haryana, 17 are reserved for Scheduled Castes as per the Delimitation of Parliamentary and Assembly Constituencies Order, 2008.
