Richa Chadha birthday: 5 times 'Bholi Punjaban' nailed the look like boss lady!

Richa Chadda, born on December 18 1986, is an Indian actress who works for Bollywood or Hindi movies. She is best known for her work in the Fukrey Series.

Her debut as a small role being the comedy movie Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye! In the year 2008, she has worked as a supporting actress in a lot of films.

Early Life and Education

Born on 18 December 1986 in Amritsar, Punjab, Richa’s father owns a management firm and her mother, Dr. Kusum Lata Chadda, is a professor of political science at PGDAV College of Delhi University, who has also authored two books and also works with Gandhi Smriti.

Chadda was brought up in Delhi, India. After completing her schooling from Sardar Patel Vidyalaya in 2002, she completed her undergraduate degree from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi.

When Chadda was a year-and-ahalf, her family moved to Delhi to start a new life. Chadda says, “It’s just context according to me. I don’t want to talk about it. I was very young,”, now armed with powerful performances in her armor, looking squarely into a mirror after drying off from a gruelling photo shoot, where she spent close to an hour in the shower, posing as both bitch and belle (and often an amalgamation of the two) in an off-shoulder top and a towel.

While she does not discuss it actively, the ‘refugee’ status does affect her beliefs. “I am only very strictly liberal and like to let people be, in terms of what their faith is,” she says. “I’m a very spiritual person. I believe in energy and some kind of God-I don’t think science can explain consciousness yet- but that is pretty much it.” But growing up in the Capital is something she remembers fondly. Chadha lived in a joint family with four brothers. Her parents, both teachers, have always given her a lot of freedom and her dad’s belly played a major role in setting aspirations to be a performer in motion. “I must have been four or five when I decided I want to be an actor,” she says. “I really enjoyed making my family laugh.”

Richa’s movies to be watched

Richa has been a popular face in Bollywood for quite some time now. The actress is known for her brilliant performances, sharp features, and distinctive style. Richa Chadha made her Bollywood debut with the movie Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye (2008). She has also given some great performances as a supporting role in many other films like Gangs of Wasseypur, Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela, Masaan, and many more.

She has also received many awards for her performances and one of her films received a standing ovation at the Cannes film festival. Here are some of Richa Chadha’s movies that you can watch on her birthday on December 18.

Tamanchey: Pyar Mein Dil Pe Maar De Goli is a Navneet Behal directorial. The movie has Richa Chadha, Nikhil Dwivedi, and Damandeep Singh as lead characters. The plot of the film revolves around an aggressive, passionate, and acidic love story between two criminals whilst on the run from the law.

Masaan is a Neeraj Ghaywan directorial. The movie has Richa Chadha, Vicky Kaushal, and Sanjay Mishra as lead characters. The plot of the film revolves around India’s Ganges River, where four people face prejudice, a strict moral code and a punishing caste system as they confront personal tragedies.

Daas Dev is a Sudhir Mishra directorial. The movie has Richa Chadha, Yogesh Raj Mishra, and Rahul Bhatt as lead characters. The plot of the film revolves around a love story, an interesting, modern take on the classic tale of Devdas-Paro-Chandramukhi love triangle, starring Rahul Bhat as Dev, Richa Chadha as Paro, and Aditi Rao Hydari as Chandni.

Cabaret is a Kaustav Narayan Niyogi directorial. The movie has Richa Chadha, Akshay Anand, and Gulshan Devaiah as lead characters. The plot of the film revolves around the life of a cabaret dancer.

Panga is an Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari directorial. The movie has Richa Chadha, Kangana Ranaut, and Jassie Gill as lead characters. The plot of the film revolves around the life of a national level Kabbadi player from India. It follows her triumphs, struggles and overcoming of stereotypes. It shows how important the love and support of one’s family is for a person to be successful.

Making principled choices was something she was always conscious of. While saying no to films is never easy, Chadda made sure she did not dilute her repertoire by throwing herself at any odd film that came her way. “It is difficult to say no because it’s always tough to say no to money,” she recalls. But she does want to do what she calls a “fun” film-anything she thinks she might enjoy, since the demanding roles, she admits, do take a toll on her.

We wish her luck, love and a very happy birthday!
