Sonipat: A wrestler lost his life after he was shot by three assailants during a wrestling tournament organised in Juan village. The deceased, identified as Keshav Singh, was a resident of Gadhmirakpur village in Sonipat.
The accused were identified as Dinesh of Juan, Sahil of Karsola and a minor from the Karewri village.
Reportedly, the incident occurred while Keshav was warming up for his match, the assailants came in the ring from behind, following which they shot Keshav in the head. His uncle Satpal rushed to the hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival.
According to preliminary inquiries, accused reportedly confessed to having murdered Keshav due to an old enmity and a case has been filled at the Murthal police station.
