Haryana chief minister, Manohar Lal Khattar, has reportedly urged nearly 5,000 newly-recruited policemen of the state to watch ‘Newton’, that has recently been nominated for the Oscars. The reason behind the move is to motivate the policemen to perform their duties honestly.

‘Newton’ is a story of a government clerk, who performs his duties with full dedication and sincerity. As per reports, the movie was recently screened at the Madhuban police centre. Khattar too attended the screening.

Rao, who was also reportedly present there, said that it was a matter of pride for him that the special screening of his film had been organized by the state government.

“It gives a good message to the society as it is based on a story of bringing out a change in the system by removing the shortcomings and encouraging people to discharge their duties honestly”, he was quoted as saying.
