Oscar-winning music composer, AR Rahman received huge backlash for singing mostly Tamil songs at a UK concert recently in Wembley, London on 8 July. The outrage of the fans went to an extent that some even asked for the refunds.
Music lovers, who attended Rahman’s concert, walked out halfway when he performed mostly his Tamil songs and not enough of his Hindi tracks.
The infuriated fans, mostly North Indians, took to Twitter to express their dissatisfaction at the Oscar-winner.
Now, actor-singer Priyanka Chopra who is busy doing Hollywood films these days has responded on the entire controversy.
Reacting to the backlash received by Rahman, the international diva called the concert-goers’ response rude. Priyanka, who is a musician too, told reporters, “That’s very rude. I don’t have much knowledge about it so, I can’t comment further because if I say something, you guys will write a lot. So, all I will say is that it was rude.”
