Hisar is one of the 90 constituencies to go for polls for Haryana Legislative Assembly on October 21. Hisar falls under Hisar Lok Sabha constituency of Haryana. Ved Narang is the current MLA of Hisar.

In the 2014 Haryana Vidhan Sabha (Haryana Legislative Assembly) Elections, BJP candidate Kamal Gupta defeated Congress’ Savitri Jindal.
