Honor ROBOT PHONE Launch: Honor has started building more hype around its Robot Phone, and the company now says the device is coming this August. The phone was first shown at MWC 2026, where Honor described it as a new kind of AI phone with robot-like motion and a cinematic camera setup. Later, Honor also showed it again at WAIC 2026 in China, where it talked about the device as a new form of smart hardware with more physical AI interaction.

Honor’s own teaser message says, “From upending industry norms to shattering the conventional form factor of smartphones. Dare to dream, dare to be different – #HonorRobotPhone coming this August.” The company has also kept the phone on its official event pages, where it calls the device “a new species of smartphone” and says it brings embodied AI interaction together with cinematic imaging.

Pre-orders are already Open

Before the full launch, Honor has opened pre-orders for the Robot Phone in China. Buyers can reserve the device by paying a 1000 yuan deposit, and Honor is offering extra benefits with the booking. Reports say these perks include items like membership rewards, warranty help, accessories, and other launch gifts. The company has not yet shared the exact sale date, so the August timing is still the clearest window for now.

A Phone that moves like a Robot

The Robot Phone stands out because of its unusual camera system. Honor says the phone uses a small 4DoF gimbal setup, which lets the camera move on its own, follow subjects, and help with stable video and AI video calling. On its official pages, Honor says the phone can react in a more human way too. It can nod, shake its head, and even dance with music. That is why the company keeps calling it more than just a normal smartphone.
