Honour Killing: 3 family members arrested for killing couple in Bihar’s Gaya, burnt bodies found from river

Gaya: While the world is celebrating the season of love during the valentine’s week, a couple in Bihar’s Gaya, lost their lives at the hands of their own family members.

In the shocking incident reported, a couple identified as Soni and Vikas Paswan, belonging to different communities and castes wanted to get married however, the family disagreed to the proposal. Despite family’s disapproval, the couple continued meeting each other which forced girl’s father, uncle and a cousin to commit the crime.

As per the reports, the duo met during tuition classes. The man used to teach the girl in tuition. During the course, the duo fell in love with each other and eventually got married in a temple. The couple started living in a rented house when their familied denied to accept their marriage. When girl’s family came to know about their marriage, they got the couple arrested.

After some time when the man released from jail, the couple was abducted by the girl’s father accompanied by Girl’s paternal uncle and a cousin as well.

It is said that he had stopped to take the oil on a petrol pump near the place where he was abducted. After this, the couple was brought to a deserted place along the river Hubli where they were killed ad burnt.

Police said that the accused have been arrested and that the three have accepted their crime in the interrogation.
