A horrifying rape case was reported in Chennai on Monday, July 17, in which 18 men have been accused of sexually harassing a hearing-impaired 12 year old girl for over a period of seven months. While the victim’s parents have took the girl to the nearby hospital, police is deeply looking into the matter.
Police has arrested 18 men including the security men, lift operator, and water supplier of the society, and trying to finds other who could possibly be involved in the heinous crime.
The police complaint was lodged at the Ayanavaram police station, Chennai. The minor was subjected to cruelty, torture and sexual assault. She was sedated by drugs, injections and a powder that they made her sniff before sexually assaulting her. The predators had taken videos of the act and were blackmailing her for sexual favours.

Police told that the entire matter came into the light after the victim informed the sequence of incidents to her elder sister, who later brought this to the notice of their parents, following wish a complaint was lodged.
Elevator operator Ravi Kumar is accused of harassing the minor first, following which others joined in eventually.
