ICICI Credit Card Rule Changes From Feb 1, 2026:The changes which will happen at ICICI Bank credit card holders will start to take effect on February 1 2026. The updates will change the way you receive rewards and the no-cost services you receive and the method which some transactions will be billed to you. The bank has introduced multiple modifications to its retail credit card portfolio which will affect your daily purchasing patterns.
Complimentary BookMyShow Movie Benefits
The most important upcoming change for ICICI credit cards will begin on February 1 2026 when the bank stops offering free movie access through BookMyShow to customers who hold specific credit cards. This means that all complimentary movie tickets and “Buy One Get One Free” ticket promotions which you used to receive through specific cards will no longer exist.
Previously, many users looked forward to this perk as a monthly entertainment bonus especially during weekends or holidays. Now, if you held the ICICI Bank Instant Platinum Chip Credit Card or the Instant Platinum Credit Card, this benefit will be fully withdrawn after February 1.
Transport & Insurance Rewards
Transport Spending: Reward points you earn for daily travel expenses (such as trains, buses or auto bookings via specific transport merchant categories) will now be capped. Depending on your card type, you’ll earn points only on transport spends up to a certain monthly limit. For example, ₹10,000–₹20,000 per month based on card variant.
The current card rewards system allows some cards to provide insurance payment benefits which reach a maximum value of ₹40,000 per month.
