The International Court of Justice will deliver its verdict in the Kulbhushan Jadhav case at around 3.30 pm on Thursday, 18th May. The court will decide and give its verdict on India’s request to suspend the death sentence awarded to the former Indian navy officer by a Pakistan military court.

India’s famous advocate Harish Salve had represented India in Jadhav’s case the 11-judge bench at ICJ on Monday. He said that not giving legal representation of Jadhav amounted to “serious miscarriage of justice”.

Pakistani counsel Khawar Qureshi sought “dismissal” of India’s application.

On April 10 this year, the court had sentenced Jadhav to death sentence for alleged “espionage and subversive activities” and alleging that he is a member of India’s Research and Analysis Wing(RAW).
