IIT Bombay has released a list of 9 companies which have been blacklisted from campus placements for the period of one year. The decision has been taken by All-IITs Placement Committee (AIPC), and usually adhered to by all IITs.

The companies which have been banned include LeGarde Burnett Group, GPSK, Johnson Electric, Portea Medical, Peppertap, LexInnova, Mera Hunar, Cashcare Technologies and IndusInsight.

GPSK, an India focused multi strategy investment firm, Johnson Electric, China based motion subsystems and motion components provider, Portea Medical, a home care provider start-up, and Peppertap, an on demand grocery provider have been banned on the ground of revoking offer.

LeGarde Burnett Group which is a management consulting group has been debarred as the company was found fake with no proper office address. Mera Hunar, a placement consultant has been barred citing that the Firm came with a different name and hired students for another startup.

Two analytics companies LexInnova, an advanced patent analytic provider and IndusInsight, a big data analytic firm have been blacklisted for delaying the joining.

Earlier in May this year, Flipkart had an imbroglio with IITs after it deferred the joining date of recruits. Despite this Flipkart has not been named in this list.
