After his last two films ‘Besharam’ and ‘Bombay Velvet’ bombed at the box office, Ranbir Kapoor went missing from big screen for quite some time. The only media glare he received was when his break up with Katrina Kaif started doing rounds on social media.
Now, the actor is back in limelight with his new (Ae Dil Hai Mushkil) release in line. The 33-year-old actor in his recent interview with Vogue India confessed about his drinking problem. The Barfi actor said, “It is a visual medium and I have to look after myself. I have seen it in my family, I have seen it go the wrong way, so I’m aware I have a drinking problem. When I shoot, when I work, I don’t drink. But when I’m not shooting…”
Well he also mentioned the beverage he prefers—a cold draught beer—though he would go on to “drink anything.”
Though it is hard to gulp down that Ranbir Kapoor, who is usually media shy, would confess something like alcoholism in public, but with his upcoming film’s release and much at stake, a small media stunt wouldn’t do much harm to his reputation.
All we can do is to pray that his next film doesn’t fail at the box office and the actor stays away from alcoholism.
Ranbir Kapoor also opened up about his relationship with Katrina Kaif is and said that it is often misinterpreted by media tabloids. “Katrina, after my parents, has been the most inspiring and motivating factor in my life. Period. That is too dear to me and there is no explanation, there is nothing I can tell you about it. Nobody will understand it. And I don’t want to sell it.”
Well, Ranbir, it is hard for us to figure whether this is an actual confession straight from the heart or the pressure to deliver a hit film has finally made you speak about Katrina.
