In the 2018 ranking of the Corruption Perception Index released by Transparency International, with 41 points India saw a marginal improvement of 3 ranks. In comparison to last years position of 81, the country now stands at 78.
Denmark, New Zealand and Finland are at the top three spots. Among neighboring countries Bhutan stands at 25, China at 87, Pakistan at 117, and Bangladesh at 149.
United States of America saw themselves out of the top 20 countries, they are now placed at 22nd rank. The Index ranks countries on a scale of 0(highly corrupt) to 100(very clean). Somalia continues to rank at the bottom spot.
