India Men's cricket team: Complete schedule for 2019

Indian National Cricket team has ended 2018 in a brilliant manner by retaining the top spot in Test cricket and also by winning the 3rd Test against Australia to make a lead of 2-1 in current India’s tour to Australia. Team India maintained a win-loss ratio of 3.5 in both the limited over formats. Lose almost nothing in any format at home.

Team India will play the first match of 2019 against Australia in the ongoing Test series from January 3. After the Test, both teams will play 3 ODI matches series. Later in January team India which represents the richest board of cricket (BCCI) will fly to New Zealand for limited over series.

After playing against Kiwis, Virat Kohli led Indian team will welcome Australian cricket team for limited over series followed by a Test and 3 ODIs in March against Zimbabwe for which some young players will be given chance to perform.

The BCCI is set to announce the IPL 2019 schedule only after the dates for the 2019 Indian General Elections are out. However, it has been expected to experience the action from the richest cricket league in April-May as the focus will then shift to England, which is set to host second ICC tournament in as many years.

After the ICC World Cup India will then fly to Caribbean islands to play their first complete tournament after 7 years against West Indies. The Test series against West Indies in July will be part of the ICC Test championship, the final of which will be played in June 2021. Then after a small break, India will host the matches against South Africa, Bangladesh and West Indies.

Team India have an unassailable 2-1 lead over Australia after winning the Boxing Day Test match. Virat Kohli led team India to have an opportunity to record maiden Test series win in Australia, they just have to draw the Sydney Test.
