India & Virtual Reality: What’s In-Store?

With India being one of the primary leaders in technological advancements in the 21st century, it comes as no surprise that they are at the forefront of breakthroughs with Virtual Reality.

Not only is VR research incredibly exciting, but it is also one of the few technologies that have the potential to revolutionise the world.

In this article, we will be taking a look at what’s in store for India over the next few years when it comes to VR, as well as talking about a few of the exciting innovations we can expect to see within the foreseeable future.

New Tech Is Just Around The Corner

As you would expect, there is a wide range of projects underway that plan on creating the next big thing in the Virtual Reality industry.

There are even some truly shocking innovations that are taking place as we speak, and it seems as though the world of VR is going to be revolutionised as we know it within the next few years.

To list a few, there are the VR boots that allow for tracked movement and realistic pathing within a VR world, there are the VR gloves that allow for hyper-realistic touch/feel, and most mind-boggling of all, there is a new “VR suit” that has hopes of being able to create realistic sense activation.

These technologies are going to be a big step up from what we have now, and it is going to be truly exciting to see these innovations roll out to the general public.

A Gamer’s Paradise

One of the most natural avenues for VR to go down is gaming.

VR is a perfect fit for the gaming industry, and we can already see it being implemented in big ways.

For example, some Indian live casinos produce live-streamed content which provides the customers with an immersive experience akin to being in a real-life, physical casino. It uses special recognition software so the cards used by live dealers can be interacted with by the customer on the other side of the screen. Arguably, this content preempts a lot of what VR will do. It’s easy to envision VR being used as an extension of this gaming experience.

The Future Is Now

Despite the fact that we have yet to develop VR to its true capabilities, there are already a plethora of different uses for VR that we use in current society.

In reality, VR is useful in almost every industry imaginable, and as we begin to develop it further and further, we will see its uses stretch far beyond that of simple gaming or entertainment.

VR is one of the most promising technologies we have on the horizon for humanity, and the world is going to be a drastically different place once VR is fully realised.

It is going to be truly exciting to see India develop VR to its full capabilities.

Nobody truly knows what the future will look like, but one thing’s for certain; VR will definitely have a role to play.
