On Saturday, during the 2nd Innings of Australia of Boxing day Test match between India and Australia, Rishabh Pant gave a mouthful to Tim Paine calling him a ‘temporary captain’. This sledging by Indian wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant came out of the sequence after Aussie captain poked him on the 3rd day of the Test match by reminding him that he has been dropped from team India’s ODI squad.
On the fourth day, it was the 40th over which was being bowled by Ravindra Jadeja when Paine was yet to open his account. Rishabh Pant started chattering with fielder Mayank Agarwal over the Aussie captain.
Pant said, “You got a special guest today…come on manki (Mayank Agarwal). Have you heard a word temporary captain? Hain mank (Mayank)? Have you heard the word temporary captain ever? You don’t need anything to get him out. He loves to talk, that’s the only thing he can do.”

Earlier On Friday, Paine used Dhoni’s reference to sledge Pant. Paine said, “Tell you what big MS is back in the one-day squad. Should get this bloke down to Hurricanes.. They need a batter.”
Before that on the 2nd day of the Test match between India and Australia, Paine also tried to distract Rohit Sharma while he was batting. “It’s a bit of a toss up between Royals and Indians for me. But if Rohit hits a six now, I’m changing to Mumbai,” Paine told Finch, which was caught up by the stump mic.
India has a decent chance to win the match and compel a 2-1 lead in the on-going Test series ahead of the Sydney Test match.
