The potency of a country’s passport is measured by the number of countries that grant visa-free entry to its citizens. According to the most recent assessment by the Henley Passport Index, Singapore has recently surpassed Japan as the country with the world’s most powerful passport. Japan remained number one for five consecutive years. Japan is currently ranked third. India occupies the 80th position on the ranking, with visa-free access to 57 countries.
