India’s Youngest MP has tabled maximum private bills in Lok Sabha

Dushyant Chautala, the youngest MP in the history of Indian Parliament[has reportedly tabled the maximum number of private member bills in Lok Sabha. With 13 bills he holds the record of the max bills and also, the Hisar MP is credited with asking maximum number of questions in Lok Sabha. According to data collected, in the recently concluded monsoon session, he has tabled a total of 427 written and verbal questions and participated in 144 debates and discussions.

In the monsoon session he has raised issues ranging from promotion of sports, farmer debts, worker unions, girl child education along with the reported discrimination faced by sportsperson from Haryana in Rio Olympics. He also pointed out the failure of Crop Insurance scheme and suggested more ‘farmer friendly’ measures. Along with this, he also asked for an international airport at his home constituency, Hisar and advocated for the restart of wifi-scheme in Juglan.

Attacking the government on the recent surge in crashes of MIGs and the perennial technical issues that they have been facing, he asked for increased compensation for those martyred in such accidents and asked for the reason behind the purchase of such aircrafts.
