Instagram Posting to the Past Might Be Possible Soon: Although you can use several techniques to spruce up your Instagram profile grid, you can’t edit past posts. But according to recent leaks, this might soon change.
Instagram Posting to the Past Might Be Possible Soon
Alessandro Paluzzi shared evidence of an Instagram feature that is in development called ‘Post to the past’ on X (formerly Twitter). In the screenshot (shown below), it is evident that you will be able to make backdated posts with the upcoming feature. You will find the option to post to the past above the ‘Boost post’ option when you create a new post.
As per the screenshot, the ‘Post to the past’ will feature a calendar icon, which suggests that by tapping on it you may be able to choose the date to backdate your post to. In addition, people will be able to see the post on your profile by scrolling to the date it was posted, even if it does not appear in their feed.
Whether the post will indicate that it was backdated has yet to be confirmed. A lack of this element could lead to all kinds of problems, from simple household spats to civil lawsuits.
