Apple announced the pricing, specifications, and release schedules for the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max during its ‘Wonderlust’ event on Tuesday. The new iPhones are equipped with a USB Type-C port, which substitutes Apple’s proprietary Lightning port. The traditional mute slider switch has been replaced with a new Action button that can toggle between ring and silent modes, as well as activate apps, execute shortcuts, etc. The iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max are constructed of textured titanium, a departure from stainless steel. The Pro models also include the brand-new 3nm A17 Pro chipset, which promises improved performance and power efficiency in comparison to the A16 Bionic SoC, as well as a 6-core GPU that promises cutting-edge gaming capabilities.
