The iPhone SE 4 is expected to be released in 2025 with significant display improvement: The iPhone SE 4 is still anticipated to debut in 2025, as Apple continues to procure components for its upcoming entry-level iPhone.

The Elec reports that screen component manufacturers Samsung Display, Tianma, and BOE are in price negotiations with Apple for OLED displays. Analysts suggest that the panels match those of the 6.1-inch iPhone 14, a notable improvement from the 4.7-inch LCD panel on the iPhone SE.

Expect a cutout with Face ID instead of thick bezels and a Touch ID home button on the iPhone SE 4, based on the iPhone 14. Despite claims from some sources that the new iPhone SE will feature a Dynamic Island similar to the one found on the iPhone 15 series, this seems improbable given that the iPhone 14 featured a notch.

A significant upgrade is imminent.

Prior speculations suggested that the iPhone SE 4 might borrow the battery from the iPhone 14, among other components. However, Apple may separate the next SE from its previous flagship by adding a single 48MP rear camera.

The 2022 iPhone SE uses the design and components (chipset not included) of the 2017 iPhone 8. The 2022 iPhone 14, which is slightly old and will become even more so next year, may influence the iPhone SE’s design.

Apple plans to release the next iPhone SE in 2025, following its usual schedule. Expect the launch in spring or summer for $500 or less, comparable to the least expensive phones. It might be more affordable than Apple’s iPhone 16 series, priced at over $800 in October.
