Avinash Srivastava a notorious and self-proclaimed psycho Killer was again arrested from Vaishali, Bihar on Friday. This operation was carried by Vaishali’s special team, District Intelligence Unit (DIU) with the Mahnar police. With him, the police have also apprehended the smack smuggler Altamas, a resident of Fulvarisharif in Patna.
40-year-old Avinash used to work in Delhi for Banglore based IT giant Infosys before he turned into a murderer. Avinash has completed his Masters in Computer Applications (MCA) from Jamia Millia Islamia in Delhi.
In the year 2002, his father and then RJD MLC Lalan Srivastava was shot dead in Hajipur. To avenge his father’s murder, he left his IT job and settled in Patna waiting for the right moment to strike. Then in the year 2003, Avinash shot dead his father murderer Moin Khan alias Pappu Khan in Hajipur. He reportedly shot 32 bullets into the Papu Khan’s body. After the murder, he sat near the corpse for about three hours.
Previously in 2016, he was arrested in the Central Bank of India robbery case at Harpur Belwa in the Mahua police station area of Hajipur. At that time, when the police asked about him, he said, “Search for the Cyber killer Amit in Google.” When the police searched, the police’s senses flew, while Avinash became happy.
“Crime and life go side by side,” he told his interrogators in his latest arrest, adding to that he told them that he was inspired by the blockbuster movie “Gangs of Wasseypur.” Avinash also claimed to have written a book on the infamous Jehanabad jailbreak of 2005.
Avinash Srivastava: 22 murder cases
Avinash is a resident of Kankarbagh in Patna and is facing 22 murder cases in adjoining districts of Vaishali currently, according to the SDPO Mehnar Surendra Kumar Panjiyar. “We have unearthed a plot of killing two people in the district following Avina’s arrest,” added SDPO.
According to police, Avinash Srivastava had roasted the husband of Patna deputy Mayor Amravati Devi, Dina Gopi, from AK-47. At the same time, he killed 20 people, including Captain Sunil’s brother, Vijay Gopi, Ajay Gopi, Lalu Gopi, Ajit Gopi, Moin alias Pappu, advocate Sardar Ji, Imtiaz, Chanrik Gopi, gold baron Manoj Sonar, Rahul Yadav.
