IVCA’s Annual India Alternatives Conclave 2017 to kick off on March 6, 7 in Delhi

The ‘IVCA’s Annual India Alternatives Conclave 2017,’ will draw attention to alternate investment opportunities in India along with focusing on investment opportunities in the sectors of infrastructure, energy, and other growing segments. The focus of the conclave will be to review Indian economy and role of private capital.

The event will be held on March 6 and 7 at the Grand Hotel, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi. The Indian Private Equity and Venture Capital Association Conclave (IVCA) is the perfect forum for deliberating on a range of ongoing issues. Newsd is associated with the Indian Private Equity and Venture Capital Association for the IVCA Conclave 2017 and is an Associate Partner of the event.

Slated to be this year’s most significant forum, the conclave brings together leading voices in the private equity and venture capital industry, government, and the limited partner community. As long-standing investors that are vested in the development of the private equity industry in India.

The prominent speakers for the event include Sandeep Sinha, co-founder and managing partner, Lumis Partners, Sanjay Nath, co-founder and managing partner, Blume Ventures, Ajay Kumar Kapur, deputy managing director, small industries development bank of India (SIDBI), Ananth Shenoy, head – credit alternatives, edelweiss alternative asset advisors Ltd., Ashley Menezes, partner, ChrysCapital Advisors LLP, B Prasanna, Group Executive & Head – Global Markets Group, ICICI Bank Limited, B V Krishnan, Member, Kohlberg Kravis Roberts (KKR).

The agenda of the conclave will be to review of Indian economy and role of private capital; the importance of AIFs and future of taxation: the Private Sector Perspective; start-up report launch and discussion; infrastructure investing in India: outlook for 2017; limited partners move to increase India allocations to invest – will the allocations rise; opportunities in credit and venture debt and private debt: will it help fill in the funding gap etc.

The event will also emphasize on REITS and real estate investing in India: outlook for 2017, private equity experience in India – a currency perspective, Indian venture capital outlook – funding and deal flow, a workshop on Valuations (By Duff & Phelps).

Day two of the conclave will focus on the expectations and challenges in fundraising and trends in fund formation: the LP & GP perspective; presentation of the Fourth Wheel Report by Grant Thornton; exits in 2017: expectations and hurdles; valuations and value addition: exaggerated or reasonable?; new growth sectors: which sectors are likely to lead the next Bull Run?
