Joining the list of celebrities who’ve come forward against the Supreme Court’s ban of Jallikattu in Tamil Nadu, eminent composer AR Rahman has decided to fast on Friday.
The legendary composer took to Twitter to announce the same, revealing that he’d be doing so for the spirit of Tamil Nadu.

Many celebrities including directors Ameer Sultan and Gauthaman, Actors Vijay, Suriya,Kamal Haasan, Rajnikanth, GV Prakash had all come out in support of the Jallikettu and asked for a lift on the ban by supreme court.
Actor Kamal Haasan had compared banning of Jallikattu to a hypothetical ban on biriyani, asking for a ban on the latter, if the former were justifiable.
Actor Vijay took to twitter to post a small video message using the hashtag #JusticeforJallikattu.

Applauding the peaceful protest, actor Suriya said “It’s in the people’s court. This is for the people, by the people. Youngsters have come out without any instigation. This is a people’s movement.”

Meanwhile, Tamil Nadu government has asked the Centre to promulgate an ordinance for conducting Jallikattu.
