Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan who is famous for his controversial remarks has again courted controversy by targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Barack Obama over the “conditions of Muslims.”
Talking about the detention of Shah Rukh Khan in US, he said on Friday evening, “Modiji is not permitting us to lead a peaceful life here and in America, PM’s friend Barack Obama would not allow us to live.” He also added that “We (Muslims) are a disturbed lot and don’t know where to go.”
While addressing the reporters he also crooned the lyrics of a popular Hindi movie song ‘samjhega kaun yaha, dard bhare dil ki zuban/Jaye toh jaye kahan’ to stress his point. When questioned over the lack of law and order in the case over the Ghaziabad attack on BJP leader Tewatia, he said law and order in the state was on the right track and the police administration was taking prompt action against criminals.
“If crimes are committed, prompt action is taken and criminals are put behind the bars. The law and order condition in the state was on the right track,” the Uttar Pradesh Urban Development Minister said.
