Aspiring engineers preparing for JEE Main 2025 Session 2 are eagerly awaiting the release of their admit cards and exam city slips. The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the second session of the exam from April 1 to April 8, 2025. While the application and revision process has concluded, candidates are now looking forward to the next step—knowing their exam center details and downloading their admit cards.
When Will NTA Release the JEE Main 2025 Exam City Slip and Admit Card?
As per the JEE Main 2025 information bulletin, the exam city intimation slip will be released in the second week of March. This slip will help candidates determine their allotted exam city, allowing them to plan their travel arrangements in advance. However, it is not a mandatory document for the exam day.
The JEE Main 2025 Admit Card will be released three days before the exam date, containing the complete exam center address, reporting time, and other crucial instructions.
Difference Between JEE Main Exam City Slip & Admit Card
While both documents provide information about the exam center, their purpose differs:
- The Exam City Intimation Slip only reveals the city where a candidate’s exam center is located. It helps students plan logistics but cannot be used for entry into the examination hall.
- The JEE Main Admit Card includes detailed exam center information and must be carried on the exam day along with a valid ID proof.

Once released, candidates can follow these steps to download their admit card or exam city slip:

Why is JEE Main 2025 Important?
JEE Main is the gateway to undergraduate engineering programs at National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), and other centrally funded institutions. It is also a qualifying exam for JEE Advanced, which is required for admission to the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).
As the second session approaches, candidates should keep a close eye on NTA’s official announcements for updates regarding their exam city slips and admit cards.
