JEE Mains 2026 Session 1 Result Announced: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the official results for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2026 Section 1. The official website now allows candidates who took the January session to get their scorecards by entering their application number and password.
According to official updates and multiple reliable media reports, a total of 12 candidates secured a perfect 100 NTA percentile, making them the top scorers in this session. The results display All India Ranks (AIR) together with percentile scores and eligibility information for next admission stages.

Shreyas Mishra from Delhi achieved a 100 percentile score which placed him among the highest scorers. Students from several states including Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Gujarat, and Maharashtra also featured among the perfect scorers.
Reports indicate that Rajasthan produced the highest quantity of 100-percentile candidates this year which matches the pattern established in earlier sessions. 12 candidates obtained NTA Score (percentile) of 100 in Paper 1. Among the SC category, the topper is Deva Srivedh from Andhra Pradesh, which score of 99.99. Meanwhile, from the ST category, the topper is Daksh Sehra from Rajasthan with 99.99.

When and How JEE Main 2026 Was Conducted?
The examination for Session 1 took place from January 21 to January 29 2026 at numerous testing locations throughout India and in specific international cities. The examination for Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech) occurred on several occasions while Paper 2 (B.Arch and B.Planning) was scheduled for January 29.
“NTA scores are normalised scores across multi-shift papers and are based on the relative performance of all those who appeared for the examination in one shift. The marks obtained are transformed into a scale ranging from 100 to 0 for each shift of examinees. The NTA score is not the same as the percentage of marks obtained,” a senior official explained.

What Happens Next for Qualified Candidates?
Students who achieve the required cut-off percentile will gain eligibility to take JEE Advanced 2026 which serves as the entrance examination for Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).
Candidates who wish to enhance their test results will receive another chance to take the exam during Session 2 which will occur in April 2026 when the best score from both sessions will determine their final ranking.
The Session 1 exam registered more than 13.5 lakh candidates while about 13 lakh students took the test during different shifts which demonstrated the fierce competition for engineering seats in India.
