Supreme Court judge, Justice Dipak Misra sworn-in as the 45th Chief Justice of India (CJI) on Monday. Justice Misra succeeded CJI JS Khehar who retires today. Misra had a long run as an SC judge and was senior-most after Justice Khehar.
He will oversee the judicial business in the country until 2 October 2018, the day he turns 65. Justice Mishra will face almost similar challenges that his predecessor faced during his tenure.
