Kangana took Manikarnika several notches higher – Ankita Lokhande

The year 2019’s most much awaited and eagerly anticipated historical biopic war magnum opus Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi has released in theatres nationally and across the globe last week on January 25th.

The film narrates story and life of our country’s Indian hero and Joan of Arc, India’s first fierce and daring warrior queen Rani Lakshmi Bai of Jhansi and her remarkable contribution to Indian freedom struggle against the British.

Manikarnika also marks the Bollywood debut of TV diva Ankita Lokhande in the film industry where she plays the role of Jhalkari Bai in the film. Her realistic and expressive acting has also managed to make film critics and audiences notice her and have surely impressed everyone which is adding more brownie points to the success of the film.

On seeing Manikarnika emerge successful and victorious at Box office by defying all odds, Ankita penned down a really adorable and heartwarming thank you note for her director and co-actor Kangana Ranaut.

She had written, “#KanganaRanaut @team_kangana_ranaut has been a best co-star and director. Thank you, Kangana for always being there for me and taking this film a notch higher”.

Stellar performer Kangana Ranaut plays the leading titular role of Rani Lakshmi Bai in the film which also marked her directorial debut through Manikarnika. The film is really doing amazing at the Bollywood box office.
