Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan and husband Saif Ali Khan become proud parents of a baby boy on Tuesday morning at the Breach Candy Hospital. Both the mother and the new-born baby are said to be doing well.
“We are very happy. The baby is fine and so is Kareena. All of us are absolutely delighted,” said Kareena’s father and actor Randhir Kapoor to Indian Express.
Reportedly, the entire Khan and Kapoor families were with Kareena as she was wheeled in for delivery. Post the delivery, Saif and Kareena in a joint statement said that they have named their new-born son Taimur Ali Khan Pataudi.
“We are very pleased to share with you all the wonderful news about the birth of our son: Taimur Ali Khan Pataudi, on the 20th of December 2016. We would like to thank the media for the understanding and support they have given us over the last 9 months and of course especially our fans and well wishers for their continued affection. Merry Christmas and a happy new year to you all…With love, Saif & Kareena,” reads the statement.
As soon as the news broke out, Taimur Ali Khan Pataudi started trending on Twitter.
Kareena’s pregnancy was always in the news for some or other reasons. Significantly, the actress carried her pregnancy wonderfully and turned out to be a fashion inspiration for all the future moms. From walking the ramp to featuring on a magazine’s cover, she remains just unstoppable even during the most delicate period of her life.
She was so involved with her work commitments that Saif had requested her to take it slow. A source then had said, “Kareena is quite a workaholic and doesn’t like sitting idle. Saif understands that Kareena is fiercely independent and responsible about completing her professional assignments. However, he doesn’t want her to over-exert herself in the process and has requested her to take it slow and cut down on public appearances.”
“Kareena has handled her pregnancy very well. We’re all waiting to hold her little one in our arms. She’s extremely healthy and the baby is doing fine. Yes, she is due on December 20. At the moment, we can’t say whether she will opt for a surgery or follow the natural procedure. Her doctors will take a call closer to the due date depending on the baby’s position and Kareena’s health. For now, we’re just preparing to welcome our grandkid,” Kareena’s father Randhir Kapoor had said in an interview.
