A remake of the 1978 film, Pati Patni Aur Woh will release this Friday starring Kartik Aaryan, Bhumi Pednekar, and Ananya Panday. The trailer of the film has garnered a lot of eyeballs because of the trio’s chemistry and also because of Kartik Aaryan’s controversial monologue, which was later removed.
The question that remains is will the remake be as hit as the cult classic version of the film, well, for that we have to wait till Friday.
Talking about the remake, you’d be surprised to know that Kartik aka Chintu Tyagi has not watched the cult classic yet, and there’s a major reason behind it.
In an interview to a leading daily, Kartik Aaryan revealed why he didn’t watch the 1978 film, directed by BR Chopra. About it, he told an entertainment portal, “The makers have picked only the basic premise from the original film (by the same name) and changed the other elements around it. I didn’t watch the cult classic, because I wanted Chintu to be a completely new person on the big screen.”
While many actors would watch the original film while prepping up for a remake, Kartik Aaryan decided to opt another way.
Here’s the trailer of the film:
Pati Patni Aur Woh is produced under the banners of T-Series and BR Studios. The rom-com Pati Patni Aur Woh is all set to be released on December 6.
