Katrina Kaif finally breaks her silence on less screen time in Zero

We are waiting for Shah Rukh Khan’s Zero as it is officially one of the most awaited films of the year. And if the buzz is anything to go by, the film is all everyone can talk about and for all the right reasons. The trailer has shattered many records on social media and garnered over 100 million views. Like that was not enough, the makers have been dropping bomb songs to keep the audience hooked and clearly, it has worked. What has fans even more excited is the fact that SRK is coming back with his Jab Tak Hai Jaan co-stars Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif.

That’s right, King Khan is not the only one who will offer a spectacle like never before. Both Anushka and Katrina are playing some well-written characters.

While Anushka will portray the role of a differently-abled scientist with cerebral palsy, Aafia Bhinder, Katrina will be seen playing Babita Kumari, an actress with a drinking problem. Reportedly, Kat who has a meaty role has 25 minutes of screen time in the film. And now the actress has revealed the reason as to why she signed the film despite that. In an interview with DNA, she said, “I think you have to see the film in totality. Honestly, I had thoughts initially – someone’s screen time is more and I don’t need to do this. But, both Aanand Sir and Shah Rukh were so insistent and persistent that this was something which they really felt was going to be important for me to do.”

She also opened up about how actors should constantly do things outside of their comfort zone and vision. “Aanand Rai is a director I have so much respect for and he seemed so certain that this was a journey he was not going to let me down on, one which was very important for me and I took that leap. It’s ok in a career which has been going on for some time, it’s ok to take a little step outside of what one normally thinks and see what happens,” she added. So, now you know!
