Since yesterday, reports about Katrina Kaif reuniting with Akshay Kumar on the silver screen after a period of nine years for Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi have been doing the rounds. Needless to say, Akshay and Katrina’s fans went berserk over this development as the two were last seen in Tees Maar Khan (2010).
Looks like, their fans will have to wait for their reunion for a bit longer as Shetty has rubbished the rumours of Katrina being finalised as the female lead of Sooryavanshi. As per a Filmfare report, the director refuted these rumours as false.

“It’s not true’. We are still working on the script,” Rohit was quoted as saying. This may break the hearts of the fans who were eagerly waiting for their collaboration. In the past, Akshay and Katrina have worked on several films that include Singh is King, Namastey London, Welcome, Humko Deewana Kar Gaye and De Dana Dan. Most of the films they were a part of, did well at the box office. While a few doomed at the ticket windows.
Now it remains to be seen as to which actress will be cast opposite Akshay Kumar in Sooryavanshi. If a report in Pinkvilla is to be believed, then Akshay will be seen in the role of ATS officer Veer Sooryavanshi in this comedy-drama film apparently, the actress who is paired romantically opposite him will play his girlfriend and wife who is a pillar of support to him in background full of corruption and intrigue.
