Kedarnath Char Dham Yatra 2026:The long-awaited moment has finally arrived for thousands of religious followers. The sacred portals of Kedarnath Temple have officially opened today, marking a major phase of the Char Dham Yatra 2026 season. After the opening of Gangotri Temple and Yamunotri Temple earlier this month, pilgrims are now turning their focus to Kedarnath and the upcoming opening of Badrinath Temple tomorrow.

The authorities have implemented registration requirements because they anticipate increased visitor numbers during this year. Multiple registration methods are currently available which include WhatsApp, official website, mobile app, and offline counters.

The portals of Kedarnath Dham reopened today at approximately 8 AM after six months of winter closure according to latest reports. Thousands of devotees gathered at the shrine for the first darshan of the season.

Kedarnath stands as one of the most sacred temples which honors Lord Shiva and contains one of the twelve Jyotirlingas.

Badrinath Temple Opening Date 2026

Badrinath Dham will open its portals to the public on 23 April 2026. Pilgrims who want to experience the complete Char Dham Yatra can now add Badrinath to their travel plans.

Char Dham Yatra 2026 Registration

The Uttarakhand government has made registration compulsory for all pilgrims visiting Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri, Yamunotri, and Hemkund Sahib. Registration helps crowd control, safety monitoring, weather alerts, and emergency response.

Online Registration Process

1. Go to official registration website: https://registrationandtouristcare.uk.gov.in

2. Get Char Dham information & Tourist Registration and Verification Process:

3. Click on Login/Register

Registration through any of the below identity -Individual (Self) or

Family (Self and Family) or

Tour Operator

4. To create a new account, enter Full Name, Mobile No., Select Tour Operator/Individual/Family, Enter Password & Confirm Password, and then click on Sign Up button.

5. If you have already Signed Up earlier then, Sign In from the same page with entering Mobile Number, Password and Enter Captcha and click on Sign In Button 1

6. After Sign In, you will see the Dashboard with your name on the left

7. Now, create/manage tour by clicking on Create/Manage Tour Info. The Plan Your Trip Page will open

8..Click on Add New Tour

9. Select Tour Type, add Tour Name, select Tour Duration (Date of Entering & Leaving into state) in Uttarakhand from date picker. Enter No. of Tourists (If there are 5 family members, who are coming to Uttarakhand then user has to enter 5 number in that field), Select Specific Date of Tour in front of the destination.

10. Click on Save button

11. Now, you will see the tour has been created

12. Add pilgrim under that tour. So, click on Add Pilgrim button now

13. You will see Registration of Tourist form now. Your destination will be displayed automatically.
