It’s hardly a couple of weeks since the FIFA world cup came to an end and India that holds 97th position didn’t even play in the world cup but the sports lover went crazy over the whole ‘so called festival’. India is a country where sports is endured not just as passion but also as career. However it comes as a huge disappointment when the leaders who take pride in getting clicked with these hard working players make mockery of them.
In a saddening instance, the Khelo Bharat Khelo selected players who were supposed to reach Delhi were made to serve tea and snacks to the ministers at Ranchi BJP office before their departure. This bizarre incident came to the limelight when the BJP leaders invited these young aspiring fellows to promote them in front of media before they leave for Delhi while ended up getting them involved in catering jobs.
How disappointing is this that when they were supposed to be appreciated and honoured for their energy and enthusiasm they were treated as an object. Until and unless we learn to value what we have we will always find the grass on the other side greener.
