The 19th Costume Designers Guild Awards kicked off Tuesday at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California, honoring the best in film, television and short-form costume design.
‘La La Land’ won the trophy for Excellence in Contemporary Film, with ‘Hidden Figures’ earning the Period Film Award and ‘Doctor Strange’ winning Fantasy Film.
On the TV side, Netflix led all networks/streamers with four CDG noms, winning Outstanding Period Television Series for ‘The Crown’.
‘This is us’ star Mandy Moore hosted the star-studded ceremony, with Meryl Steep, Lily Tomlin, Jane Fonda, Pierce Brosnan and James Corden all in attendance.
