Lauriya Assembly Constituency 2025:Lauriya Assembly constituency is located in the northwestern corner of Paschim Champaran, Bihar, and is a part of Valmiki Nagar Lok Sabha seat. Yogapatti community development block and 17 gram panchayat of Lauriya block viz. Lauriya, Belwa Lakhanpur, Gobaraura, and Sathi are the areas that come under this constituency. The place is mostly a village, with a mixed electorate comprising Yadav, Brahmin, Dalit, and Muslim castes.

In the 2010 Bihar Assembly elections, Vinay Bihari of the Indian National Congress defeated the Lauriya seat. Yet, he ran as an independent candidate in 2015 elections and won. In the 2020 elections, Bihari of BJP scored a victory with 77,927 votes, over RJD’s Shambhu Tiwari, who received 48,923 votes, and thus, the difference of votes was 29,004 reflecting a comfortable mandate for the constituency.
