New Delhi, April 16 (IANS) At a time when the Indian economy seems to be facing an uncertain future amid nationwide shutdown, BJP leader and business tycoon Vaibhav Agarwal injected a sense of positivity on Thursday, asserting that life is not a balance sheet.

Participating in a webinar, Aggarwal backed the view of IMF that India being a leading and growing economy in 2020-21 having the highest GDP despite all odds. He also said that the GDP growth for year 2020-21 would be much beyond 3 per cent.

As various industries are unsure of a comeback in the foreseeable future, in wake of the Covid-19 outbreak and the shutdown, the BJP leader said: “Every disease needs to be managed without worrying about the future. Our present actions are right and hence our future would be bright. We have to go a long path in life and henceforth we should always have a positive aspect to it.”

The Blade-BRAINS Group (Global) Chairman sought to inject a sense of positivity and contrasting life view when he said: “Today times are tough and challenging however, we need to look at these challenges as opportunities for creating success.”

Drawing an analogy of life and balance sheets, Agarwal said Indians must build life and growth together through positivity. He also laid emphasis on the need for one to stop judging each other and give back to society as a social contribution for a happy living and sustained growth.

The Indian Institute of Finance hosted the IIF Webinar series on “Essence of Life and Growth”. The webinar was moderated by Aman Agarwal, Professor of Finance & Dean (IR) of the IIF and attended by over 75 global participants from Japan, Poland, Malaysia, India and others.
